Not raising the ceiling of the US financial debt will mean there is no more money for federal institutions and entities to further operate, which will cause the global financial systems to be in peril. This being used as a political tool shows you the lack of stability within our political system as well as the divide where nothing is safe (everything is weaponized to gain leverage to take the upperhand).

-China and US tensions continue to grow as seen in numerous reports all over the media. China's president Xi seems to be strengthening their ties with countries all over the world and devaluing the US dollar as the international currency of trade by vying to use their own currencies instead (like in the cases with Brazil and Russia).

With both political parties more divided than ever, many Americans are fed up with it (I'm sure you have witnessed this yourself first-hand in your everyday social interactions, social media, and news media). Conservatives are unwilling to change the course of the country from more traditional and Christian ideals and liberals want to add the acceptance of all walks of life (i.e. LGBTQ). They try to champion women's rights and LGBTQ rights who have seemed to move past the always forgotten civil rights of racial inequality (especially LGBTQ which seems to have punched its way into our everyday lives in recent years faster and more powerful than a Mike Tyson's uppercut). But this is not the focus (probably be the focus in a future article). 

(Reuters)- Dozens of former Republicans and Democrats are forming a new third party called Forward. They say their aim is to provide a third party to millions of Americans that they feel are disenfranchised by the current two-party system.

The question that many humans on planet Earth are wondering; is Taiwan part of China? I am willing to bet that most people haven't delved into this to find out what the answer is. That's ok, we all have our day jobs and glued to our phones and so many media outlets keep throwing notifications at us as well as keeping what is popular from personal algorithms cooked up by media to suggest what we are into or what we might be into to find out the answer.  Well, being that Nancy Pelosi and other politicians (of the US) have planned on or have visited there against the wishes of China. They even have gone as far as to threaten the US with "forceful measures" if this practice keeps happening. 

(Reuters)- Germany's neglect towards their military was pointed out (since the Cold War) along with Russia's aggression towards Ukraine as the main factors of approving a vote by German lawmakers to revamp their military.  The approved a bill worth 100 billion Euros ($107 billion) to be designated for funding improvements to their military. 

Australia attempts to put a stop to China's attempt to gain more influence in their Asian Pacific region with a security pact with the Solomon Islands.  Right now both China and Australia are vying for more influence in the Pacific islands. Australia going to Fiji and China going to the Solomon Islands. China warns Australia that their attempts to stop the pact between them and the Solomon Islands will fail. 

Internationally, hacking has become a problem. Sometimes it can be used for good; Anonymous forces Russians into seeing the truth about the war through hacking their state media broadcasts (for instance). Other cases are negative like North Korea stealing 600 million dollars worth of cryptocurrency (that is a huge bag). The US slapped sanctions on them in retaliation, but when you can squeeze 600 million dollars out of thin air- I don't think they care. 

Bongbong Marcos aka Ferdinand Marcos Jr.  has won the presidency by a landslide. With 78% looking upon US favorably and 55% looking upon China favorably, there is a geo-political struggle in the region. Marcos has said that he will not alter their relationship with the US, but that he wishes to extend the countries' relationship with China. They are very close neighbors, and it seems like something that would organically happen. 

The new look of the Supreme Court is highly Conservative. Because of this, leftists have lost a lot of trust in the current line-up in reflecting their 50% of the population's (theoretically being a two-party system) ideological leanings. As a result, we have a very deep-seated battle in the overturning of the Roe versus Wade ruling in 1973. It appears to be a huge overreaction on the left's part because they don't seem to be respecting the beliefs of their fellow citizens across the aisle. 

Deforestation has been on the rise in Brazil since the current president, Jair Bolsonaro took office in 2019. His more right-leaning political standing has softened on environmental issues in the matter. His reasoning for doing so is to open up more farming and mining opportunities to reduce poverty among the populace. 

Sand is an important part of the construction industry; it is used in both glass and concrete. 71% of the Earth is covered by water while the other 29% is an island. Of the 29% left over, on that island, only 33% is desert. Of that 33%, only 20% of the desert land is covered by sand. When you look at it that way; it is a very small portion of our global landscape. It is reported that 50 billion metric tons of sand are used annually. That could build an 88-foot-tall wall that is 88 feet wide around the whole Earth. That is insane.

In the last week of April, US announced they have banned Anti-Satellite Missile Tests that are limited to destructive tests that create more "space junk" around Earth's orbit. The ending of such tests is an attempt to stifle an arms race in an area where the US is quite far ahead technology-wise.

A floating city like lily pads on a pond connected together as a means to create a self-sustaining habit for human beings that floats over the ocean. This concept will be coming to life over the waters within South Korea's biggest port city of Busan. The overall space needed for the project is placed at 15.5 acres and will house up to 12,000 people. The project is reported to be ready for the building phase in the year 2025.

China always considers Taiwan apart of their territory and is said to be willing to do anything it takes to get Taiwan back, including the use of force.

Yesterday, when a federal judge from Florida lifted the requirement for face masks on transportation, we slowly saw the dominos fall and most forms of transportation do not require them anymore. 

Extreme rain like never before seen (well for 60 years atleast) in South Africa is the cause of floods that have killed hundreds of people. In some areas, they have gotten six months worth of rain in a single day. 

It is said that Finland is set to send in their application to join NATO in June with Sweden to follow shortly after. One of the reasons of Russia starting the invasion of Ukraine, was to thwart global domination of the West, which Putin clearly miscalculated that it may cause others to join the West. Before both Sweden and Finland were opposed to Membership, but this invasion has drastically changed their mind in the matter.

Most of the conservative rhetoric towards the price of the pump is, Biden is at fault. Most of the rhetoric coming from progressives is, the gas companies are at fault or Putin. Most people with any sense would think the war and the West's sanctions on Russia removing their natural gas and oil supplies from their chain. You can blame Putin, Russia, the War, and the sanctions on this subject and you wouldn't be wrong. Biden's part in picking sanctions against Russian petroleum supplies (along with the rest of the world) means true, he is part to blame. 

After eight years of Civil War in Yemen that has killed tens of thousands of people, Rashad al-Alimi (new head of Yemen, internationally recognized) has promised peace.  Their exiled president, Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi has stepped aside being that he is in Ridayh, Saudi Arabia and handed power over to the presidential council led by al-Alimi.

Though both being a member of both NATO and the EU, Hungary will pay in rubles for their petroleum purchases from Russia. This is a sign of how dependent Europe is on Russia.

The Great Pacific Garbage Patch is the size of three Frances. It consists of plastics from Asia, North America, and South America. Some of the plastic is 50 years old. There is said to be 3 trillion tons of plastic (mostly in the form of microplastics). This is a clear example of how destructive of a race we are as humans as well as our love for plastic and the convenience it brings. 

In Florida, "Don't Say Gay" bill has been signed and passed by the Gov. Ron DeSantis. It targets the education of sexual orientation and gender identity in the classroom from kindergarten through third grade (banning it from being apart of the curriculum).
