The quick response of SpaceX to identify a Russian attempt to block Ukraine's communications by the use of electromagnetic warfare was swift and impressive, the military was watching. The US military admitted that they did not have the capability of such a trained and immediate response and see the importance of it first hand on the European battlegrounds.
During an unspecified time in March, Elon Musk got a tweet from a Ukrainian official asking for his help against a Russian electromagnetic jam that was disrupting communications on the ground. Elon Musk immediately answered the call for help and sent thousands of Starlink terminals to Ukraine; whose actions kept the country online.
If Ukraine lost their ability to communicate, that would be catastrophic indeed.
